Glycerine is a drug used for lubrication, moisturizing, etc. Glycerin has three hydroxy (-OH) in its structure, so it has strong moisture absorption and lubricates and moisturizes. Glycerine is a sugary alcohol that is synthesized or obtained from natural ingredients and is safely used in some cosmetics and personal care products such as soap, toothpaste, shaving cream, skincare and hair care products. Glycerin is the second most frequently used ingredient after water among cosmetics ingredients reported through FDA's Voluntary Cosmetic Registration Program (VCRP).
